OUR PROCESS

How the Custom Cabin Process Works

Want something tailored? Here’s how we make custom cabins easy:

  1. Tell us what you need – Size, layout, features — we’ll talk through your vision.

  2. Get a quote – We’ll price the design, including any extras or upgrades.

  3. Approve and book – Once confirmed, we lock in the build and delivery timeline.

  4. Build and deliver – Your custom cabin is built to spec and delivered ready to use.

  5. Rent to own or purchase outright – Choose the payment option that suits you.

HomeNow Finance makes it easy to get your cabin sooner with simple weekly payments. Apply for fast approval and start your ownership journey without the upfront cost. Flexible terms and affordable rates designed to fit your budget.

WINZ Clients and Applicants with Low Credit Scores

We understand that not everyone meets standard lending criteria. For clients whose only income is from a WINZ benefit, or for those with a below-average credit score, there are two options available to help support your finance application:

Option 1

You can apply with a guarantor who is employed full-time and has a minimum credit score of 600.

Option 2

You can apply with one or more co-borrowers (up to three people in total). Ideally, at least one applicant should be working full-time to strengthen the application.

The timeline depends on the complexity of your design. Standard custom cabins take around 6-10 weeks, while more detailed projects may take longer. Once built, we arrange delivery and on-site setup, ensuring a smooth transition. If you need a faster option, we also offer kitset cabins that are easy to assemble. Our team keeps you updated throughout the process so you know exactly when to expect your cabin.

For a smooth delivery, your site should be level and accessible. If needed, we can advise on ground preparation, foundation options, and access routes before delivery. Our team handles the whole process, ensuring the cabin is set up correctly. If your site is difficult to access, additional equipment like a crane may be required. We’ll discuss all site requirements with you in advance to avoid delays.
